When I started teaching I had years of education, practicums, and internships behind me but I still needed a mentor who was an experienced teacher. They helped me with classroom struggles, encouraged me when things were tough and helped me with suggestions when my own bag of teaching tricks was empty.
Let me be your mentor! The experiences in the classroom have left me with a set of skills at observation and teaching in the moment that I would love to utilize outside of the classroom.

How The Process Works

We Start With...
a free discovery call. Inviting someone into the details of your home, your parenting and homeschooling struggles can be daunting. Lets meet for an initial chat to discuss your biggest win and biggest struggle.
Next We Do...
you have the option of continuing with coaching, pursuing Collaborative Tutoring or just evaluation services.
Then This...
get to work! No matter what you choose the focus in on you and your family and making how I can support your home schooling journey.
And Finally...
your children will make strides in their education and you will feel supported as their teacher. You can take these skills with you as you teach your other children and support other home school families you meet!
10 weekly sessions over 12 weeks to accommodate the realities of family life.
Your family cannot be its best if you are not cared for. We will cover topics like establishing self-care and routines. Your biggest struggles and biggest wins.
Then we dig into the details of your biggest struggle and make a plan!
Four weekly 45 minutes of 1 on 1 tutoring between the student and Alisa, followed by 15 minutes of collaborative planning with the adult guiding the child's home school journey over the course of a month. The purpose of collaborative tutoring is to give Alisa, an experienced teacher time with the student to teach small lessons and assess progress.
Then she will work with the adult to offer ways that the student's progress can be furthered at home.

Starting in 3rd grade and every odd grade after that, Colorado home schoolers can either take a standardized test or have their progress evaluated by a licensed teacher.
